The event was aimed at discussing the current state of the healthcare sector and medical education in the country, as well as plans for the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vice minister A. Giniyat spoke on the current state of medical education and plans for improvement. She separately voiced positive changes in the development of nursing, based on the experience of Finnish and other European partners: the introduction of an applied bachelor\u2019s degree (3 years 6 months), an accelerated training program (1 year 6 months), Pre-PhD and PhD programs in nursing science , introduction of the position of \u201cextended practice nurse\u201d who can make diagnoses at her level, as well as \u201cNursing coordinator in health departments\u201d.
